Hello and welcome to my first wedding blog post! My name is Janie Kegley & I have elected to FINALLY start my own wedding & event planning business!
I am excited and nervous all at once, and I know starting this venture is not at the best time considering the state of the world, but is there ever really a good time? There are always excuses not to go after your dreams, but I have decided to take on mine after seeing the world stop during this crazy pandemic. Life is too short to wait!
A little about my business..
I will be operating Edin Events as its sole owner & lead event planner! I am a sucker for weddings and can't wait to uniquely showcase you & your spouse on your big day.
Fun Fact! I got the name Edin Events because Edin is the name of my sweet girl cat who I just adore. She was named after Edinburgh, Scotland as it was a place that my fiance & I both traveled together.
A little about me:
I was born & raised in the great state of Kentucky!
I went to school for art & actively participate in art shows/exhibitions when I can.
My favorite food on the planet is a hearty southern breakfast! Can't go wrong with Biscuits & Gravy!
I have two kitty cats named Edin & Tormund. Edin is calm & super friendly. Tormund is a wild cat who is often a daredevil!
I love to travel & be in the woods when I am not working.
My favorite Lexington, KY activity is definitely visiting the distillery district for good brew, pizza, and a concert at The Burl!
A little about my planning style:
I love to get to know my clients & I love to get you laughing! I am very outgoing and love to make clients smile. I am so interested in your story & what brought you guys together!
I love to make things pretty! I have a creative mind and I am always looking for ways to make an event aesthetic go to the next level.
I am very detail oriented & love to handle the nitty gritty of wedding planning. I have been known to show up at a venue with a tape measurer & notebook before just to make sure we can get an accurate floor layout!
I aim to be your right hand man & biggest advocate when it comes to your wedding. I am fighting for you & your wedding. I will always be on your side no matter what problems arise!
I love an adventure & a challenge. Bring on the bold colors, the ice sculptures, the flower walls! I am ready for it all.
