My name is Janie Kegley Marcum and I am the Lead Planner & Owner of Edin Events! I am so pleased you are taking the time to read a little bit about me and my journey with Edin Events!
Fun Fact, Edin is the name of the first cat my husband and I ever adopted together. She was a total sweetheart and we named her after the first place we traveled to, Edinburgh, Scotland. While she is no longer with us, we will always remember her as she truly made us a family and was such wonderful chapter of our love story. Now, I get to think of her every time I see my business name and help couples like you with their love story! (Edin is featured in photo above)
Another fun fact, I studied art in undergrad! I hold event design to the highest of standards while bringing my visual arts perspective to the table. No design request is too bold! I believe this is what sets me a part from most wedding planners as I am always eager to make your wedding day design timeless, yet unique to you!
I am extremely proud to say that I have over 10 years of event planning experience! I found my love for the wedding industry by first interning at the Cincinnati Art Museum. The museum soon hired me as their Wedding & Events Coordinator the moment I graduated from University of Kentucky after receiving my masters in Arts Administration, and I have been building my wedding planning skills ever since!
In 2020, I had an epiphany during the lockdown where I realized I should take the leap and build my own wedding planning company. That is how Edin Events got started and I have now owned and operated this business for going on 4 years. It has been the best decision I have ever made!
It is my personal mission to make wedding planning FUN for all of my clients! Edin Events offers a collaborative planning experience where we work together to make your day all that you dreamed. You will never feel left out or lost in the planning process, but rather that you have a wedding best friend to guide you through each step of the way!
